Each strip measures approximately 34cm.

Freshwater pearls are pearls that are grown and created with mussels in freshwater. They are mainly produced in Japan and the United States on a limited scale, now they are produced almost exclusively in China.
Harvesting freshwater pearls is usually done while they are still in the shell. After harvest, the pearls are sent to a factory that is responsible for cleaning and classifying the pearls by size and shape and classifying them according to a grade of quality.
Once the selection process is completed, they are processed in the factories. The pearls are pretreated in a hot and cold chemical solution and then generally bleached although the latter process may be skipped and the pearl is left with another, wilder and darker color. Pearls that exhibit strong coloration only undergo chemical treatment and are not bleached or stained.
