💎 Tutorial: Tris Earrings with Pearls and Miyuki Bugles

Learn to create these spectacular earrings! In this step-by-step tutorial, I'll show you how to combine the classic elegance of pearls with the geometric shine of Miyuki Bugles to achieve the "Tris" design, a versatile and lightweight geometric piece.

This design is ideal for both beginners in beadweaving and experienced crafters looking for a high visual impact piece.

📝 Materials Needed:

  • Miyuki Bugles (Glass bugle beads) 3mm
  • Pearls (can be glass or natural) 4mm
  • Seed beads 15/0 for joining details
  • High-strength thread (such as Fireline, Nylon, or Miyuki)
  • Jewelry needles (Size 10)
  • Earring hooks (French hook or other styles)

✨ Step by Step:

1. Thread preparation
Cut approximately 1.5 meters of thread and thread a needle on each end.

2. Tris design base
Thread a seed bead to the center of the thread and then a bugle bead on each end to form a base triangle. Cross the threads through a pearl to close the circle and create the triangular structure.

3. Add the Bugles
Between each pearl of the triangle, add a Miyuki Bugle and cross the threads in a seed bead. This will create the geometric sides of the Tris design and give it that modern and structured look.

Do the same with as many pearls as you like, in my case I used three.

4. Details
Use the seed beads to reinforce the joins and add decorative details to the corners of the triangle.

5. Attaching the hook
Create a small loop at the top of the earring using seed beads and secure the earring hook.

6. Finishing touches
Pass the thread through the structure several times to reinforce it, make several hidden knots between the beads, and trim the excess thread.

💡 Professional tips:

  • Maintain even thread tension for a symmetrical design
  • Experiment with different color combinations of pearls and bugle beads
  • You can create more elaborate versions by adding more pearls to the triangle
  • You can also create bracelets or necklaces with the same design
