Pulsera Primavera con nudo Cuadrado y Rocallas

Spring Bracelet with Square Knot and Seed Beads

In this tutorial, we will learn how to make a simple bracelet with rocaille beads, stringing them in a way that they will form flowers. To do this, we will alternate the rocaille beads with macrame knots.

Materials needed to make the bracelet:

Matubo 6/0 Seed Beads.

1mm Nylon Cord.

Scissors.

Lighter.

Board for making knots.

To make it, we will use Matubo brand rocaille beads in size 6/0 and 1mm thick braided nylon cord.

We use Miyuki brand rocaille beads because they have a slightly larger hole than other rocaille beads of other brands in the same size.

We will use a central cord as a guide and another cord on which we will make the knots. We are going to make the well-known square knot or flat knot, which is one of the most used knots in macrame and micromacrame.

The first thing we need to do is thread a series of rocaille beads, in a specific color order, onto the central cord as shown in the photograph.

We will make a knot at each end of the cord to prevent the beads from falling off.

In my case, the blue rocaille beads correspond to the flower petals and the cream-colored rocaille beads to the center.

The first thing we will have to do is string a series of rocaille beads, in a specific color order, on the central thread as can be seen in the photograph.

We will make a knot at each end of the cord to prevent the beads from falling out.

In my case, the blue rocaille beads correspond to the petals of the flowers and the cream-colored rocaille beads to the center.

Next, we can start making the knots with a second piece of cord. My guide thread is beige and the thread I'm using to make the knots is blue.

We will make a total of 10 flat knots, also known as square knots, at the beginning of the bracelet.

Afterwards, we will continue making new knots, alternating between the beads we placed at the beginning (the first three: blue-beige-blue) and some new ones that we will string onto the new cord to form the flower petals (two blue ones at each end of the thread).

We will place two new rocaille beads at each end of the new thread.

We will make two knots between each flower.

Until we achieve the desired bracelet length. In this case, I have made a total of 10 flowers.

For the end of the bracelet, we will use a sliding clasp, which we will also make with square knots.

To do this, we will cut a new piece of cord about 20 cm long and make about 6-8 knots.

The result, as you can see, is great!
