Arrow Bracelet with Miyuki Delica
Share
Learn how to make this beautiful creation using the Peyote Stitch technique and 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads. You can follow our simple step-by-step instructions on our YouTube channel.
What is the Peyote technique?
Peyote stitch is a type of bead weaving technique we do with a needle and thread. It's typically done with Miyuki beads, as we need all the beads we use to be calibrated, meaning they have exactly the same measurements, so the work is perfect and the beauty of this technique can be fully appreciated. It's like laying bricks on the wall of a house.
What material do I need?
Materials needed to make the bracelet:
Delica Miyuki 11/0 : I have used the colors « Opaque Picasso Turquoise Blue «, « Matte Opaque Cream «, « Opaque Light Mint » and « Light Bronze » for the Picasso model and « Op. Glazed Frosted Rainbow Navy Blue «, « Light Grey Luster «, « Opaque Pale Rose » and Metallic Argent Bronze » for the «Navy» bracelet

How to start making the bracelet

First, we'll place a bead that will serve as a stopper to begin the creation. In this case, an 8/0 seed bead.

We will start by stringing together 16 Delicas, in my case 6 in green, followed by 4 in bronze and again 6 in green.
Next we will string Delicas with the Peyote stitch, first 4 green ones to reach the center of the bracelet, where we will string 2 bronze-colored Delicas at a time and finish with another 4 green Delicas.

We will make a total of 7 rows of Delicas with the Peyote Stitch in green and then we can change to the Mint color.
When we go towards the inside of the bracelet we place 4 Delicas and when we go towards the outside we will place only 3. In the center always two Delicas in bronze color strung at the same time and without doing Peyote.

In the video I also show you how to add yarn when we run out of what we were working with.

And once we have the bracelet at the desired length, we'll make the clasp. In our case, a "Button" clasp. To do this, we'll place a button on one end of the bracelet.

And at the other end we will make the buttonhole.

And that's it! We can now enjoy our work...
