What material do I need?
Materials needed to make the bracelet:
Miyuki Tila Beads : I used the colors « Opaque Orange Picasso » , « Czech Coating Matte Labrador «, « White Pearl AB «, « Matte Brick Red «, « Palladium Plated « and « Opaque White » for the red bracelet and the colors « Matte Metallic Dark Bronze «, « Opaque Green Seafoam Picasso «, « Opaque White «, « Opaque Turquoise Green «, « 24 Kt. Gold Plated » and « Antique Ivory Pearl Ceylon » for the Turquoise bracelet.
Miyuki 11/0 Seed Beads : I used the color “ Nickel ” for the red bracelet and the color “ Duracoat Galvanized Gold ” for the Turquoise bracelet.
How to start making the bracelet
The first thing we need to do is place the structure of our bracelet on a macrame board or on a wooden board. We will place the leather cord and the nymo thread passing them through the button that will serve as a closure.
Next, we will place a small piece of S-lon thread as an embellishment at the beginning of the bracelet, and we will do the same at the end. This will help us hide the knots and give a professional finish to our creation.
We will start by sewing Miyuki 11/0 seed beads to shape the beginning of the bracelet. First, a single seed bead, then two and finally three to obtain the width of the bracelet we are interested in.
Now we can start sewing the Tila beads, I am going to follow a pattern of 6 colors of Tila and then two rows of Rocalla.
We will repeat the same thing until we obtain the length of the bracelet that we are interested in. In my case, I am going to make it with a length that allows me to wrap the bracelet around my wrist twice, but you can make it with the length that you like the most with more or less wraps.
When we reach the end we will place seed beads again to close the bracelet, first a row with three seed beads, then with two and finally with one.
And now we can put a little piece of S-lon thread back so that the knots are not visible.
Now, at a distance sufficient for the button to pass through, we will make a knot that will serve to open and close the bracelet. We will place some embellishment beads and tie a knot at each end of the leather, cut the excess cord and our creation is ready to be worn wherever we go.
