Realization diagram – Chevalière Ring
Chevaliere Ring:
Materials:
– Miyuki Delica 11/0
– 12 Tupis of 4mm.
– 10 Faceted 4mm.
– 0.20mm Nylon thread.
– Threading needles.
Step 1:
We string 11 Delicas and we cross the threads as seen in the image (base row).
Step 2:
Now we have to decrease one delica in each row until we get to a row with 3 delicas. To do this we will use the "Comanche Technique" :
We introduce two delicas (number 4 and number 5) and pass the needle through the second joining thread of the base row (green thread), then we pass the needle again through delica number 5 and then through number 4 and to place them in their place we pass it through delicas numbers 2, 3 and again through number 5 (now leaving them taut and in their position).
To continue making the row, insert a new delica (number 6) and pass the needle through the blue-painted joining thread. Now, pass the needle through number 6 again, leaving it in place. Continue doing the same until you complete the 2nd row with 10 delicas.
Step 3:
We will continue in the same way until we complete a pyramid, going from the 11 delicas in the first row to the 3 delicas in the last.
We will make two equal pyramids that we will later join by the thinnest part; for which we will continue making a ring with rows of 3 delicas.
Step 4:
TO B
To make the ring we will stop using the Comanche technique and do it in the following way:
A: Starting with delica #1, we will introduce #4 and #5 and pass the thread through #2 and #3, to finish by introducing a new delica (#6).
B: To reinforce the row we will pass the thread through the delicas nº5, nº2 again and we will exit through the delicas nº1 and nº4.
We will continue making rows of 3 delicas in this way until we get the ring size we want for our ring.
Step 5:
Now we will make the ornament for our ring composed of three Swarovski tupis flowers in the way we already know ( click here ) .
Step 6:
To finish we will sew the flowers (on the faceted side) to the delica pyramids (on the widest side) and our ring will be ready.
